2-year-old lady critically injured in Tarrant capturing; mom in custody and boyfriend sought

UPDATE: Taneil Bolden was jailed Saturday, and has been released on bond.

EARLIER: A woman and her boyfriend are sought after a child was shot in Tarrant earlier this week.

Chief Wendell Major on Saturday announced police are looking for Taneil Lovette Bolden, the child’s mother, and Bolden’s boyfriend, Antonio Dequan Hasberry.

Major said Tarrant police responded to Children’s of Alabama at 5:37 am Tuesday to a report of a 2-year-old girl who had been shot and seriously injured. Details of the shooting haven’t been released, but the chief said it was reported to have taken place in the area of ​​Thomas Avenue and Waverly Street in Tarrant.

Investigators interviewed Bolden and Hasberry. They later obtained several felony and misdemeanor warrants from the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office.

Bolden and Hasberry are not in custody.

Hasberry is charged with attempted murder, first-degree assault, discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling, certain persons forbidden to carry a firearm and endangering the welfare of a child. His bond is set at $180,000 on the felony warrants. He has several misdemeanor warrants.

Bolden is charged with first-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child. Her bond is set at $45,000.
