2 youngsters positioned in state custody after drug raid at Bangor condo

August 19 – Two children were taken into state custody Wednesday after police found fentanyl in an apartment in Bangor.

Taleek McFadden, 32, and Cassandra Means, 33, have been charged with serious drug trafficking, according to the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.

Maine drug agents and Bangor police carried out a search warrant Wednesday afternoon on an apartment on Kenduskeag Avenue.

In the apartment, they found 300 grams of fentanyl in the kitchen, which police said was “intrusive” to the 5- and 9-year-old children living there, as well as $ 21,000 in alleged drug use.

The two children were placed in the care of the Maine Department of Health and Human Services.

McFadden and Means were taken to Penobscot County Jail, where they were later released on bail of $ 25,000 and $ 50,000, respectively.
