6-year-old out of Chanute, KS discovered protected, father in custody

08/11/2021 4:55 p.m .: At 4:45 p.m., agents from the KBI and local law enforcement agencies confirmed that the suspect is in custody and the child was safely located. Law enforcement officers carried out a manhunt and, using information from the Fall River residents, found the child safe and arrested the suspect.

CHANUTE, Kan. Authorities are issuing an Amber Alert for 6-year-old Nina R. Senkbeil, who was brought from Santa Fe Park in Chanute, KS. Authorities believe she could be in imminent danger. Nina and her father Jacob Senkbeil were last seen in Fall River, Kansas.

Nina was last seen in a crappy tweetie bird shirt with a pink design, Nike shorts and white color, Nike shoes that are pink and black.

The Chanute police say that Nina was brought from Santa Fe Park in Chanute by her father Jacob Senkbeil around 10:30 am. She was on a supervised visit with her father when they disappeared in an unknown direction.

A few hours later, at 12:15 p.m., the two were seen at 17515 Oak Wood Lane in Fall River, KS. There the father spoke to a witness who now leads law enforcement authorities to believe that the child is in imminent danger. The suspect was driving the child in an unknown direction in a black 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee KS with license plate 852FGX.

At around 4:00 p.m., authorities said they found the Jeep Cherokee – with no one inside – in Fall River, Kansas.

Nina and Jacob Senkbeil are still missing.
