Amber Alert canceled, baby discovered secure, suspect in custody

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, April 28, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) – An Amber Alert for the missing 6-year-old child from Salt Lake City has been canceled.

According to a statement from Salt Lake City Police, 6-year-old child Tru Nakhawit was found safe and the suspect was taken into custody Wednesday morning, approximately 90 minutes after police discovered the golden Toyota the couple was driving in.

‘We located Tru and took the suspect into custody. The Amber Alert has been canceled. We appreciate everyone who keeps an eye on us. “SLCPD tweeted just before 7am. No further information was released.

The Amber Alert was issued Tuesday night after the child was allegedly abducted by 35-year-old Julian Urlibarri near 1200 West Iola Ave, 340 South.

Police said Ulibarri and the child were known to each other.
