AMBER Alert canceled, boy discovered protected, suspects in custody

BALDWIN, Iowa (KCRG) – Law enforcement officials said a missing and at risk boy from Baldwin, Jackson County was safely found after an AMBER warning was issued Tuesday night.

According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Abel Lee Keil, 5, was found safely in Anamosa within two hours of the alert. The suspected kidnappers, Jeremy John Keil, 46, and Amy Lynn Burick, 35, were arrested.

Officials initially assumed it was in the direction of Clinton or Davenport and believe the kidnapping occurred around 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon.
