Angelina Jolie claimed that three of her six children wanted to testify in the ongoing custody process, as revealed by newly emerged court records.
The Hollywood actor is reportedly pushing against the decision to give Brad Pitt joint custody of their children.
Jolie and Pitt were married for two years before separating in September 2016, citing “irreconcilable differences”.
Although their divorce was finalized in 2019, they remain in a custody battle for their children Maddox, 19, Pax, 17, Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 15, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 12.
According to Us Weekly, court records show that the former celebrity power couple has scheduled a hearing for July 9th where the actor’s appeal “Those Who Wish Me Dead” will be heard by a panel of three.

Jolie and Pitt’s attorneys are also given time to present their arguments.
The 2020 court document filed by the 46-year-old Maleficent actor’s attorneys states, “The children whose custody is in question are old enough to understand what is going on.”
“The process will inevitably affect you emotionally. Three of the children asked to testify. It is more than unjustified to endure one of the children, which may be a pointless and futile process. It’s cruel, “they said.

In her appeal, Jolie reportedly aims to “establish a clear, reversible, adverse legal error” from Judge John Ouderkirk, a private judge of the former couple whom she previously sought to remove from the case.
“Judge Ouderkirk denied Ms. Jolie a fair trial and falsely excluded her evidence relevant to the health, safety and well-being of the children, evidence that is critical to the enforcement of her case,” the second file said California District Court of Appeals.
The statement also alleged that the judge “failed to adequately consider” a section of California’s Judicial Code that said it would be detrimental to the best interests of the child for a person with a history of domestic violence to be granted custody.
Her file did not indicate what domestic violence she was referring to.
However, the Fight Club star was reportedly “delighted” with the judge’s decision. “He doesn’t wish Angie any harm. His door is open if she wants to be polite, ”said a source.
The Independent has asked representatives from Jolie and Pitt to comment.
