Baby Help Providers Celebrates Fathers In Sacramento County

June 17, 2021

The Sacramento County Department of Child Support Services (DCSS) honors fathers who lead by example and support the well-being and stability of their children. At Sacramento County DCSS, our mission is to improve families’ lives. We do this by helping parents get involved in the support and wellbeing of their children. Studies show that including all parents in a child’s life improves overall well-being – they are likely to perform better in school, have lower dropout and incarceration rates, go to college, and lead happier and healthier adult lives.

Every family is different and we work to tailor our help to your specific situation and needs. For example, you may need help with genetic testing, issuing court orders, changing the amount of child support or adjusting child support payments to your budget. If you are the alimony parent, we can help you if you have lost your job, your driver’s license or passport has been revoked, or you owe alimony. If your children live with you and you could benefit from the maintenance of the other parent, we can help you collect the payments.

The services are free or very inexpensive. We recognize that balancing your children’s needs, relationships and finances can be a burden, and that navigating the complex legal system can be challenging. DCSS is here to assist parents with the child support system as it knows it can be a complicated process. Supporting your children today will shape their future! We are here to help you with your child support. You don’t have to do it alone. Let us be your partner – and your bridge to a world full of possibilities.
