Brad Pitt just won a big win in his custody war with Angelina Jolie, and she lost in a very big way … TMZ confirmed.
A judge has just issued a preliminary ruling on the case, awarding Brad and Angelina 50/50 joint legal and physical custody of their 5 minor children. Maddox is 19 and not subject to decision.
Angelina had sought sole custody and at the time only wanted Brad to oversee the visit, but the judge felt that her arguments that Brad was not an appropriate parent were not credible … this after numerous witnesses – including shrinkage – in the EU had testified.
A source affiliated with Brad tells TMZ, “He’s overjoyed.”
The verdict is “preliminary” but usually preliminary decisions are just a formality before becoming final. The NY Post reported the verdict first.
Angelina filed for divorce in 2016 … this after Brad supposedly got inside a physical confrontation in a private jet with one of her children. At one point he was estranged from all children and ended up being supervised. This turnaround is a major legal victory for Pitt.
