On February 15, 21, MPs launched an investigation into a child with severe body burns. During the investigation, detectives learned that the burns were allegedly due to a bath given by the father. The child was taken to a hospital in Springfield to be treated for burns. The child is listed in serious condition. As a result of the investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for the child’s father. At the time of the investigation, MPs could not find the suspect.
Samuel I. Webster, of Camdenton, has now been taken into custody after local tips helped law enforcement agencies determine his whereabouts.
