LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) – One man died in a shooting in Laurel County Tuesday morning and another man was charged in the case.
Laurel County Sheriff’s Office MPs said the shooting took place around 1 a.m. on the Nu Way Trail
Police charged 27-year-old David Sizemore from London with manslaughter.
Investigators said Daniel Austin Binder, 31, from London, went home to his ex-girlfriend over a custody issue.
An argument broke out on the porch of the house between Sizemore, the current boyfriend of Binder’s ex-girlfriend, and Binder.
Investigators said the fight was fatal when Sizemore fired multiple shots and hit Binder multiple times.
Doug Bowling, a coroner in Laurel County, pronounced Binder dead at the scene.
After Sizemore’s arrest, MPs found a gun on the scene.
Sizemore was taken to the Laurel County Correctional Center.
