Convicted intercourse offender captured after Buena Vista police say he escaped custody

Good view, Va. – UPDATE

Police arrested Percy Spinner Friday after escaping police custody, according to Buena Vista Police Department.

Spinner was arrested without incident.

Buena Vista authorities are searching for a convicted sex offender who they believe has escaped police custody.

Percy Spinner, 25, from Lynchburg, was convicted in 2015 of carnal knowledge of a child between the ages of 13 and 15.

According to Virginia law, carnal knowledge includes “the acts of sexual intercourse, cunnilingus, fellatio, anilingus, anal intercourse, and the sexual penetration of living and inanimate objects.”

Court records show Spinner was due to appear in Buena Vista Circuit Court on December 4th.

According to the Buena Vista Police Department, he escaped from police custody on December 3.
