Danville Police discover 7-week-old child from NC Amber Alert, take dad and mom into custody

DANVILLE, VA. (WFXR) – A little girl who was the subject of an Amber Alert in North Carolina is safe and her parents are in custody after Danville police track her down Thursday night.

According to the Danville Police Department, the Caswell County Sheriff’s Office issued an Amber Alert on Thursday, April 22, about a parental abduction of 7-week-old Jupiter Aria Caudle, who is in the care of her 42-year-old parents Jody, found Allan Caudle and Taylor Ann Crawford, 24, at the time of the alert.

The vehicle they operated was described as the Ford Edge with the Virginia tags KN-2520.

At the time of the alert, the Danville Police Department said officials had been working with the Caswell County Sheriff’s office to locate the baby.

At around 7:18 p.m. Thursday, Danville police tracked the parents down on the 3000 block on West Main Street.

After a brief investigation, authorities said the child was found intact with the parents. Both were taken into custody on unrelated allegations.

After being cleared by rescue workers, Jupiter was reportedly released in Caswell County’s Child Protection Services.
