PEORIA, Ariz. – – Peoria police say the father of an out-of-custody baby kidnapped his son on Tuesday February 9th and the 10-month-old baby is now being searched for.
At around 6:30 p.m., police responded to a report of domestic violence near Deer Valley Road and 91st Avenue. Police said they learned the mother had custody of her baby in the car when the father got in the car and escaped with the baby.
Police say the kidnapping suspect is 30-year-old Eric Maes. He is a white man, five feet eleven inches tall and 140 pounds. He was last seen near Cactus Road and I-17 in Phoenix after reportedly getting out of the car and escaping with the baby.
The baby is Abel Maes. He has blonde hair and blue eyes.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call 911.
