District Attorney Walter Reed will implement a new state law tomorrow Friday March 1st, which allows the suspension of a variety of government licenses for those who do not pay child support. The licenses that can be drawn include driver’s licenses, professional licenses, professional licenses, hunting licenses, and fishing licenses. These types of licenses can be suspended until the person who owes alimony can demonstrate to the court that they either have alimony or are making regular payments for alimony overdue as directed by the court. “I believe parents have a responsibility to support their children,” he said. “This law accomplishes that goal and I will vigorously enforce this law.”

Interstate Highway 10 between Slidell and Miss. Highway 607 opened to traffic on Tuesday. Highway 607 is a four-lane stretch recently built to the Mississippi Test Site near Gainesville and connects to US Highway 90 which is also four-lane in Bay St. Louis, Miss. And leads east. The I-10 will bypass St. St. Louis Bay, Gulfport and Biloxi north of US 90 as planned. From a tourist point of view, I-10 seems to be Missing from the intersection. 607 to be well on the way to the east. The transfer at Miss. 43 – the route from Picayune and Kiln – has been completed for over a year.

At a meeting between Mayor Menetre and the Covington City Council Finance Committee, it was decided to launch a rat campaign. This campaign costs around $ 350 (red squill, ground beef, etc.). The DDT and 1080 are provided by the state. This rat control program is carried out under the supervision of the local health unit. On March 6th, 7th and 8th, Covington City commercial buildings will be dusted with DDT (10%) and the new venom (1080) will also be introduced into these commercial buildings. The purpose of DDT dusting is to kill the fleas and insects. The 1080 is only placed in the industrial park, the liquid poison is placed in small paper cups. It is very deadly to any animal life – rats, cats, dogs, or humans. All stores should make sure there are no cats around while the 1080 poison is off. There is no danger from DDT.
