‘Get the information’ about youngster assist | Colusa Solar Herald

During Child Support Awareness Month, recognized nationwide in August, the Colusa, Sutter, and Yolo Regional Child Support Agency – along with the other California childcare offices and the California Department of Child Support Services – invite all parents to learn the facts about the services available to order connect them to the resources they need.

“State-wide research has shown that many parents do not know which programs are offered in their favor by Child Support Services,” said a statement issued by the agency. “The child care program aims to help both parents and guardians to provide their children with a stable and supportive environment. There are many misunderstandings about the Child Support Program and parents are encouraged to read up on the facts as the services offered today are more flexible and cater to the needs of modern families than ever before. ”

The Colusa, Sutter and Yolo Regional Child Support Agency is working with families to promote self-sufficiency and the well-being of children by establishing legal ancestry and financial support, according to the communication.

“The regional agency supports both parents in changing child support orders, the collection and distribution of child support to parents and legal guardians, as well as with the complete settlement of all child support owed, paid and received,” says the message.

Also, according to the agency, during this Month of Awareness, remembering that single parenting doesn’t mean you are alone is important.

“The Colusa, Sutter and Yolo Regional Child Support Agency, as well as local childcare offices across the state, are here to help parents better understand their rights and improve their opportunities in helping their children,” the press release said.
