An inmate at the Linn County Correctional Center reportedly died of suicide.
An unresponsive inmate was found around 4 a.m. on Saturday, according to a press release from the Linn County Sheriff’s Office.

Correctional staff performed CPR and the inmate was transported by ambulance to Mercy Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 5 a.m.
The inmate’s identity was not disclosed until the family notification.
The state doctor is doing an autopsy, an examination is in progress.
