Jail time period for stolen bank cards

A California woman was sent to prison Monday after admitting to a count of possession of a credit card without the owner’s permission.

Tori Jonnyse Bailey was arrested in February at Lake Tahoe with seven credit cards belonging to someone else.

According to prosecutor Patrick Ferguson, Bailey is currently under parole and probation supervision on a California case, which he requested the credit card possession case run concurrent with that one.

Bailey was ordered to serve 12-30 months in prison concurrent with the California case and was given credit for 69 days served.

• A $10,000 nationwide warrant was issued Monday for Samuel Thomas Oester.

According to Oester’s attorney Max Stovall, there has been no contact with Oester, but both he and the prosecution think he is currently in custody in Oregon.

• A $7,500 warrant was issued for James R. McKay on Monday, after he failed to appear for an arrangement.

The warrant is issued for the Western United States. According to court McKay is accused of failing to pay more than $10,000 in child support documents since 2007.

• A woman who admitted to being a methamphetamine user is getting a chance at treatment.

Jenee Marie Welch admitted Monday to possession of a controlled substance.

She was granted probation not to exceed 18 months.

According to court documents, Welch was originally arrested Oct. 26, 2021, in connection with possession of a stolen vehicle with her co-defendant.

Conditions of her probation are to not have contact with the co-defendant or the victim and to complete an intreatment program and drug court.

“This is a chance for her to get her life together and one last chance not to be convicted with a felony. I’m giving her that chance, but this is it,” said prosecutor Patrick Ferguson.

• A man who attempted to use a credit card belonging to someone else faces up to five years in prison.

Adam Lee Kiolbasa, 35, admitted to fraudulent use of a credit card without the card holder’s permission Monday.

He was originally arrested in July 2021 after entering the CVS pharmacy at Stateline.

Sentencing is set for Jan 9, 2023.
