Josh Duggar, From ’19 Youngsters and Counting,’ Arrested, in Federal Custody

Josh Duggar of the TLC show “19 Kids and Counting” was arrested Thursday in Arkansas by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and is in federal custody.

Duggar lost a real estate lawsuit last year and a company he is listed on as a contact is under criminal investigation by KNWA, according to local news.

No bail was given and no reason for arrest was given.

TLC’s reality series was canceled after 15 seasons in 2015. At the time, Duggar’s parents, Jim Bob and Michelle, told Fox News that their teenage son Josh molested four of their daughters and a family babysitter. When the allegations were made public, he said he acted “inexcusably, which I am very sorry and deeply regret. I have hurt others, including my family and close friends.”

In August 2015, Josh confessed to cheating on his wife Anna and being addicted to pornography. He then entered a treatment facility for six months.

“I was the greatest hypocrite of all time,” Duggar wrote in a statement at the time. “I am so ashamed of the double life that I have lived and am saddened by the pain, the pain and the shame that my sin of my wife and family and especially Jesus and all those who profess to believe in him, caused. “

Anna and Josh recently announced that they are expecting their seventh child, a daughter expected this fall.
