RHOA star Kandi Burruss and her daughter were on a recent Watch What Happens Live episode. Andy asked Riley a question that had Kandi “upset.”
Kandi Burruss from The Real Housewives of Atlanta recently shared that she was upset with Andy Cohen for asking her daughter Riley Burruss about her relationship with her father. Kandi has been open on RHOA about her struggles with Riley’s father, Russell “Block” Spencer, and how he hasn’t been a present dad. During a past RHOA season, Russell attempted to talk to Riley but it didn’t go over well when he shared his excitement about the birth of his baby boy. Kandi later revealed that although Riley kept it together for the cameras, she later started crying.
In RHOA season 13, Riley brought up how Russell owed Kandi years of child support and that he should give her the money to go towards her college fund. Kandi later hired a lawyer to sue Russell for the $92,000 he owed in back child support. Last year, she shared that she won the case and Russell was to pay a lump sum and then be given time to pay a monthly amount. The Old Lady Gang restaurant owner stated that she would give the full amount to Riley, as she felt like it was owed to her.

During a recent Watch What Happens Live episode featuring Kandi, Riley was the guest bartender and host Andy Cohen asked her, “Has your relationship with your dad improved at all?” Christian Gray Snow, host of The Slut Pig Podcast, shared a clip on his Instagram asking Kandi when was the last time she was upset at Andy Cohen. Kandi referred back to the Watch What Happen Live episode and answered, “I didn’t say anything to him about it but I didn’t really like when he brought up my daughter’s father to her on camera.”
Kandi shared that Riley had done Andy a favor by filling in as the bartender after the original person was late to Watch What Happens Live. She told Christian, “It wasn’t like she was prepped or anything, so it kind of caught her off guard.” Although Riley was flustered, she was still composed and answered that she doesn’t remember the last time she spoke to him. Kandi added on the podcast that Riley’s father is still a sensitive topic for her but she felt like her daughter “handled” the question very well.
Andy may not be happy to hear that Kandi was upset with him but the RHOA star is one of his favorite housewives. He previously shared that the ones he felt closest to were the women who were on the Real Housewives the longest. Kandi joined RHOA in season 2 and is now the longest-running housewife in the franchise. Andy confessed that ones like Kandi feel more like “colleagues” and that their dynamic is different from newer housewives. With Kandi being paid more than $2 million per episode, she is indeed one of the more valuable stars of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
