LONG COUNTY, Ga. – – The 7-month-old girl who was kidnapped was found unharmed on Thursday afternoon, the GBI confirmed. According to official sources, a suspect identified as the child’s father has been taken into custody.
An Amber Alert was issued for the kidnapped girl from Glennville, Georgia Thursday morning.
Officials issued Levi’s Call, Georgia’s Amber Alert System for missing and abducted children, on behalf of the Long County Sheriff’s Office for 7-month-old Genesis Gutierrez Harris
The little girl is described as black and Hispanic with brown eyes and black hair.
She had last been seen in a white romper suit with black and white polka dots and yellow ribbons.
Officials later identified the kidnapper as her father, Leander Nathanial Harris.
He is described as 160 pounds with brown eyes and black hair in a deadlocks style.
Harris was arrested and charged with kidnapping the child and attacking the child’s mother, investigators said Thursday.

Harris and the kidnapped child were believed to have traveled in a white 2020 Chevrolet Equinox SUV with the North Carolina plate HDR7823 on it.
An investigation is ongoing.
