Kidnapped Three 12 months Outdated Faculty Station Lady Is In Protecting Custody And Her Mom Is In Jail – WTAW

College Station Police released additional information about the three-year-old girl found Thursday night after she was abducted Wednesday night and the status of the child’s mother, who did not have full custody.

CSPD reported that the mother and daughter were driving into Amarillo on Interstate 40 when they were stopped by law enforcement in Oklahoma, a mile from the state line.

The girl, who needed special medical treatment and was without medication and equipment, was treated and discharged from a hospital. She is now in the care of Oklahoma’s Child Protection Services.

Maranda Nichols, 30, was arrested for child endangerment. She is being held in Beckham County Jail in Oklahoma.

Update the evening of March 4, 2021:

College Station Police announced that a three-year-old girl with illness who was abducted Wednesday night was found in Oklahoma Thursday night.

According to CSPD tweets, Adeline Paige Welch was given a medical exam.

The child was brought home from a college station by her mother, who does not have full custody, without her medication and medical equipment.

After local and statewide Amber Alerts were issued Thursday afternoon, law enforcement officers located them in an undisclosed location in Oklahoma.

The CSPD tweets did not indicate whether the mother was arrested.

College Station Police are looking for a three year old girl and woman accused of kidnapping them.

Young Adeline Paige Welch and 30-year-old Maranda Nicole Nichols were last seen on Wednesday night.

CSPD reports that the child has illnesses that put them in imminent danger of death or serious injury. The child’s medicines and equipment were left behind.

On March 4, 2021 at 0804 a.m., College Station Police Department responded to the 1,500 blocks of Holleman regarding a missing person investigation.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect, Maranda Nicole Nichols (30-year-old female), last dated the previous date on the 1800 block of Treehouse Trail in College Station at approximately 10:30 p.m. with the missing 3-year-old Adeline Paige Welch was seen person.

They are believed to be in a 2006 Toyota Highlander in white paint with the Texas LP MWS8187 with a “Princess on Board” sticker on the rear window.

Maranda does not have full custody of Adeline and Adeline suffers from medical conditions that place her in imminent danger of death or serious injury.

The life support medical equipment and medication she needed was in the residence on the 1500 block of Holleman.
