Kids go hungry whereas authorities underspends on little one help grants

The South African government spends far too little money on child support, so that millions of children are starving.

This is the view of the NGO Pietermaritzburg, Group for Economic Justice and Dignity (PEJDG), which described the recent decision by Finance Minister Tito Mboweni to increase child benefit by only R 10 per month as “shocking”.
