The child was apparently abducted in Philadelphia last week.
PHILADELPHIA – TO UPDATE: Police say 2-year-old Byron McDonald was taken to safety at a Philadelphia hotel. His father, also known as Byron McDonald, is in police custody. He’s the suspect in two murders. The child’s grandmother and mother were both killed.
Philadelphia police issued an Amber Alert for a child who was apparently kidnapped last Friday.
Byron McDonald, 2, was last seen on North Bancroft Street in Philadelphia on Friday. Police believe he was kidnapped by Byron McDonald when he was 28 years old. The police did not characterize the relationship between the two.
Investigators believe that in 2017 McDonald was driving a red Chevrolet Malibu with the Pennsylvania registration LMD3353.
Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
