Lethal capturing exterior Whitehall Walmart occurred throughout youngster custody drop off, courtroom information say | Lehigh Valley Regional Information

WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. – Where was the child at the center of a shootout in which 20-year-old Nicolette Law died and her 22-year-old boyfriend, the child’s father, was recovering from a gunshot wound to the head?

This is one of the many unanswered questions while filming Friday night in the Walmart parking lot on MacArthur Road in Whitehall.

Court records show Allentown Law and the child’s father were waiting for a pre-arranged custody transfer. The child’s mother arrived in a car with 23-year-old Edward Joel Rosario Jimenez and two other people.

What happened next is not clear, but records show that Jimenez got out of the car and had an argument with the child’s father. Then Jimenez is said to have opened fire. Police say Jimenez admitted it, but what the argument was about and the relationship between the two men prior to the shooting are not yet known.

There is no word about what happened to the child or his condition.

Following the shooting, records show that Jimenez dropped the gun and ran away.

He is charged with a litany of crimes, including criminal murder, and will be on trial again next week.
