Little one hospitalized, man in custody after home incident turns into SWAT state of affairs at Queensgate lodge

A child was seriously injured and a man was taken into custody after a domestic incident at a Queensgate hotel turned into a SWAT situation on Friday. The incident began around 10:30 am at the Quality Inn on West Eighth Street, where officials responded to a domestic situation. Local officials found a girl, around two years old, who was seriously injured. The child was taken to a children’s hospital, where he is in stable condition with serious injuries. A man involved in the incident, who is not believed to be the father, then barricaded himself in a room. At that point, a SWAT team was called in to arrest the man who was later identified as Robert Fogle, 34. Officers used lightning to try to subdue him. When Fogle refused to come out, SWAT officers contacted him and shot him in the side with a small round of foam. Google then surrendered and was taken to the hospital by the police to check out. Police believe a third person may have been involved in the incident but are not currently disclosing details. West 8th Street was closed for several hours because of the incident. Fogle has been charged with grievous bodily harm and endangering children, police said. He is currently being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center.
