YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Ms. Mable Catherine Brown, 91, of Youngstown, entered eternal rest at her daughter’s home on Wednesday June 16, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Brown was born on Friday, September 6, 1929, in Vandergrift, Pennsylvania, to Isiah and Susie Davis.
She was a graduate of Blairsville High School and attended Fisk University.
Mable worked as a case manager at Trumbull County Child Support for 35 years and retired in 1995.
She was a member of AFSCME and the NAACP. She attended the Tabernacle Baptist Church.
A lover of current affairs, Mable enjoyed reading, listening to the news (especially MSNBC), and jazz music. She loved being with her grandchildren, but sometimes she looked forward to some quiet time alone.
Her husband, John T. Brown, whom she married on June 18, 1955, died in 1994.
She leaves to mourn her death but to enjoy her eternal peace with four children, Terry (Iris) Davis from Leander, Texas, Larry R. Brown from Round Rock, Texas, and Gregory A. Davis and Susan M. Moorer, both Youngstown; seven grandchildren, Terence, Enrie, Rashan, Lawrence, Kasandra, John, and Christopher; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and loads of family and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, her siblings Ida, Essie, Edward, Benjamin, Katie, Hildred and Isiah preceded her in death.
After touching numerous lives, Mable is loved and greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
The tour will take place on Saturday, June 26, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Tabernacle Baptist Church.
The funeral will take place on Saturday, June 26th, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the church.
Due to the pandemic, guests are asked to wear masks and maintain social distancing.
