Madison retailer to host lemonade stand to help little one in want of a bone marrow donor

MADISON, Wisconsin (WMTV) – A Madison area company will be hosting a soda booth this weekend to educate customers on how to become a bone marrow donor and help a child in need.

Hilldale’s Kendra Scott will host the event on Saturday in support of 6 year old Liam Sanborn. Liam was recently diagnosed with his third type of blood cancer and is now looking for a bone marrow donor.

Liam has been introduced to NBC15 audiences before, first in October 2019 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night event.

The Saturday event is in partnership between Kendra Scott, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and Be the Match. Participants learn how to become a bone marrow donor, support Liam and get a glass of lemonade.

Customers can also support Liam by mentioning his name at Kendra Scott in the store when purchasing on Friday and Saturday, or using the code GIVEBACK-AIFDO on kendrascott.com to donate 20% of their purchase to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
