Man in custody after Sunday morning home violence incident
TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – A man is remanded in custody in Block 7000 of SW Crestwood Drive Sunday morning following a domestic violence incident.
Shawnee Co. Sheriff Brian Hill said officials from the Shawnee County Sheriff and several other authorities responded to a possible disturbance in a home around 1am on Sunday.
According to Hill, when the police arrived, they found a car parked in front of the house with three children in it.
Hill said a truck deliberately hit the car.
Martin Cuellar Maciel Jr., 33, was found at the house who was involved in an argument with a woman.
The sheriff said Maciel Jr. resisted arrest while he was in custody.
Maciel Jr. is charged with Grave Domestic Battery, Grave Domestic Assault, Heavy Battery Versus A Law Enforcement Officer, Battery Versus Law Enforcement Officer, Heavy Battery, Serious Child Hazard, criminal restraint, and criminal interference.
