A man wanted in New York for the abduction of an 18-month-old man was detained Thursday in Schuylkill County.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police, state troopers from Hazleton Barracks were advised on Thursday, March 18, 2021 to look out for a silver Nissan Altima with New York registration that may be driving through the area.

Austell, GA, driver Jeremy Flowers, 33, was wanted for kidnapping an 18-month-old child in Cortland City, NY. It was also reported that flowers were out with the child and owned a knife.

At around 4:00 a.m. on Thursday morning, troopers located the vehicle traveling south on Interstate 81 in Lucerne County and unincidentally detained Flowers near mile marker 140 in Kline Township, Schuylkill County due to a traffic obstruction.
