Marion County deputies arrest lady who escaped custody in handcuffs

MARION COUNTY, SC (WBTW) – Marion County MPs arrested a woman Thursday night who escaped from detention in handcuffs Wednesday, the sheriff’s office said.

Teadra Shamara Davis, 36, of Marion, was charged with resisting arrest and escape.

News13 first reported that the woman was originally arrested for child support payments. When she asked to return to her home to get her diabetes medication, she closed her door and ran back, the MPs said.

Davis was found on Jones Avenue by the Marion Police Department and taken to the Marion County Detention Center. The bond was set at $ 11,000.
