Marion man in custody on youngster pornography fees

MARION – A Marion man is in custody for child pornography.

19-year-old Joshua Bloodworth was arrested on May 5 and charged with sexually exploiting a child, groom, and producing child pornography, according to a press release from the Illinois State Police.

The arrest came after officers from the Illinois State Police Division of Zone 7 Criminal Investigation and agents from the Illinois Attorney General executed a search warrant on a Williamson County residence.

Bloodworth was accused of sexually exploiting several female juvenile victims from California, South Dakota and Illinois. Fees include sexual exploitation of a child (Class A crimes), caregiving (Class 4 crimes), and child pornography production (Class 1 crimes).

Bloodworth has been taken to Williamson County Jail, where he is currently being held pending a hearing.

Law enforcement agencies in Exeter, California and Watertown, South Dakota are supporting this ongoing investigation.
