McDonald County, Mo. – McDonald County authorities are holding three wanted people with Texas arrest warrants in custody. They were related to two children, 9 and 13, who were also located and taken to the Missouri Child Protection Service.

He tells us that his office has received information from the Texas authorities that the adults and children they are looking for may be housed in an RV in McDonald County. Reps. Kissinger, Miller, and Carr, and the Pineville Marshals found the motor home and took the adults into custody without incident. The children hid in a cupboard in the mobile home.

The adults, one of the grandfathers and one of the mother, are charged in Texas: encroaching on child custody.

In a statement released on June 25, 2021 by the Smith County’s office in Tyler, Texas, the Texas Department of Child Protection Services (CPS) reported that their agency had temporarily been granted sole management responsibility for the two youths.

Jimmy Hodges, the grandfather, and his wife Francis Callie Hodges were given ample opportunities to return the children to the approved placement family or child protection service, and they had refused to do so. Cynthia Hodges, the mother, is supposed to travel or camp with them and their children in a mobile home.
