Super Lawyers is a comprehensive directory of detailed profiles of lawyers in the United States who have achieved high levels of peer-to-peer recognition and professional achievement in more than 70 practice areas. The patented selection process includes peer nominations and evaluations as well as independent research. Only 5 percent of lawyers in the state are named Super Lawyers, and only 2.5 percent of attorneys can be named Rising Stars.

During her legal career, Lisa has handled thousands of family law cases, including controversial and uncontested divorce cases. She has demonstrated success in issues such as changing and enforcing support, paternity and parental leave (visiting), division of parental duties (custody) and removal (moving), DCFS appeals, protection orders and guardianship.

Lisa is also a trained ad litem guardian with DuPage County’s Eighteenth Judicial Circuit Court and Cook, Kane, and Will Counties. Lisa currently serves on the Illinois State Bar Association’s Children’s Rights Council and chairs the Children’s Advocacy Committee and Wellness Committee. Lisa was named an Elite Attorney in 2020 and received the DuPage County Bar Association Service Award in 2014 and the DuPage County Bar Association Director’s Award in 2020. Lisa was named Super Lawyer 2021 for the third time in a row (2019-2021). She was previously recognized as a Rising Star from 2013 to 2018.

After completing her doctorate in law at DePaul University College of Law, Jane worked as an external contributor to the Honorable Judge Michael Panter and was Associate Editor for the DePaul Law Review. As a founding member of McSwain, Nagle & Giese, Jane has handled numerous divorce cases and also dealt with paternity, child benefit, sharing of parental responsibility and parental leave. She also has experience handling Chapter 7 bankruptcy cases. Jane was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star for the fourth year in a row and received the award in 2018, 2019, and 2020.

Jessica graduated with honors from the University of Iowa Law School where she co-founded the Students for Human Rights Group. Prior to joining McSwain, Nagle & Giese, Jessica worked in a medium-sized family law firm in DuPage County and focused her practice on family law matters. Jessica is an active member of the DuPage County Bar Association, the Kane County Bar Association, and the Illinois State Bar Association. Jessica was previously named a Rising Star in 2019 and 2020.
