Michigan police recuperate three youngsters kidnapped by mom after shedding custody

ROSEVILLE, MI – A mother allegedly refused to hand over her three children to her father after he won custody, dragged them away, and went into hiding, reports FOX 2 Detroit.

It took the police more than three weeks to track down the mother and children, the report said. The Roseville police initially issued a warning for the missing children on July 8th. The officers rescued her on Sunday, August 1st, in “good health and good mood”.

Ruth Amo, 32, was ordered by a Macomb County court last month to hand over the children after her father was granted custody, police said. She allegedly refused and instead ran away.

After they were found, the children were handed over to child protection services while their father was on his way to pick them up, police said.
