Mom of murdered Caroline Crouch asks for custody of granddaughter Lydia

The mother of 20-year-old Caroline Crouch, who was murdered by her Greek pilot husband, has applied for sole custody of her little granddaughter Lydia.

The application was made on Thursday by family lawyer Thanasis Harmanis on behalf of the victim’s mother, who lives on the island of Alonissos.

“We have requested that Caroline’s mother be given custody because this is the most suitable environment, as little Lydia in Athens will be the daughter of the murderer, while on Alonissos she will be the child who lost her mother”, Harmanis told reporters on Thursday.

According to reports, the defendants’ family, Babis Anagnostopoulos, has applied for joint custody of the child, suggesting that they live half the time in Athens and half the time on Alonissos.

Anagnostopoulos confessed last week to Caroline at her home in the Athens suburb of Glyka Nera on Nov.
