NYC crime: Lady shot in head close to Brooklyn college; particular person of curiosity in custody

MARINE PARK, Brooklyn (WABC) — A woman is in critical condition after she was shot in the head near a school during an argument in Brooklyn on Tuesday.

The incident happened after 4 pm at 1925 Stuart Street near Filmore in Marine Park.

According to police, a mother was arguing with her child’s father in the street when she was shot in the head.

The victim was taken to Brookdale Hospital, where she’s listed in critical condition.

The man who police believe is the child’s father drove away with the kid.

Police later caught up with him and took him into custody. Right now, he’s considered a person of interest.

The child was unharmed during the incident.

Investigation is ongoing.
