Pea Ridge man saved from home fireplace, then taken into custody

THESE PHOTOS WERE SENT TO OUR NEWSROOM AND SHOWED THE HOUSE ON HOFFMAN STREET FULL OF SMOKE ON FIRE. HAPPY NEIGHBOR. SAW THE SMOKE AND SAY HE KNOWED JUMPING INTO ACTION WHILE WAITING FOR CREWS TO ARRIVE. And as soon as I jump the fence, I look up and see the figure of a man in the window. I turned left and hit her with my elbow and he’ll fall out instantly, and I snapped him like that. And if he falls out the window, we put him down. Well, the man THOMPSON rescued was a John Bassani police officer

Pea Ridge man rescued from house fire, then taken into custody

Police in Pea Ridge said a man was rescued from a house fire by a neighbor but was later taken into police custody because of a pending arrest warrant. The house fire broke out on Hoffman Street Saturday afternoon when a neighbor, Tyler Thompson, noticed the flames and smoke. Thompson ran home immediately. “And as soon as I jump over the fence, I look up and see a male figure in the window,” Thompson recalled. “And I turned left and hit it with my elbow and it falls out right away and I grab it like that. And we, it falls out the window we are lying down, I put it down,” said the Pea Ridge Police Department The fire was caused by electrical interference in the attic, but the man in the house, Jon Biffany, shouldn’t have been there. Police said Biffany violated a protection order against his wife, child and home. He was then taken into custody.
