Police: 6 killed at Oklahoma dwelling, particular person taken into custody |

MUSKOGEE, okla. (AP) – Six people were killed in Oklahoma early Tuesday, including five children, and one person with a gun was taken into custody, police said.

At around 1:30 a.m., officers answered a call from several people who had been shot dead in a house in Muskogee, about 45 miles southeast of Tulsa, police said in a press release.

There, officials met a person with a weapon who was later taken into custody. Police at the scene found a man and four children dead, and a fifth child died in a Tulsa hospital, police said.

A woman was also rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.

The authorities have not released the name of the arrested person or details of the deceased. Police were due to release more information later Tuesday.
