A Montgomery man was sent to the county jail on charges of kidnapping and disrupting a custody decision.
Mark Lamar Redden II, 37, was arrested Wednesday in connection with the kidnapping incident.
According to Redden’s court documents, he was supposed to return the child to his mother, but had not done so since a visit in June. At some point when the child was with Redden, he is said to have withheld the victim.
Arrest warrants were issued against Redden on July 28, although the documents were not served until Wednesday.
Redden remained in the Montgomery County Detention Center on a combined loan of $ 55,000.
