Police have suspect in custody following capturing that injured 4, together with 3-year-old

BUFFALO, NY (WIVB) – Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown says police have a man in custody they believe may be linked to Monday’s shooting that injured four people, including a 3 year old who was shot in the head.

Brown did not disclose the man’s name as charges are pending. The investigation is still ongoing – anyone with information is asked to call the confidential tip number at 847-2255.

Buffalo Police officers issued an update in connection with the Thursday afternoon shooting; You can watch the press conference in the video player above. Brown credited the community for helping provide information on the case.

The shooting took place on Donovan Drive in Buffalo. Police said a large group was gathered outside in the courtyard to watch fireworks when the shooting began.

3-year-old in critical condition, three others injured in a shooting on Donovan Drive

Two of the adult victims identified as 27 and 28 year old Buffalo males were listed with the ECMC in stable condition. The 3 year old child was in critical condition at Oishei Children’s Hospital.

The fourth victim, a 28-year-old Buffalo man who was struck by gunfire in the foot, was treated and released.
