— Jessica K. Bourne, 42, no address listed, was arrested on an active warrant out of East Liverpool Municipal Court after officers responded to the 15000 block of Sprucevale Road at 11:11 pm Thursday in reference to an unresponsive woman. Bourne was found to be suffering from an apparent overdose and Narcan was administered, at which time she became responsive. She was transported to the hospital then to the Columbiana County Jail.

— Officers responded to the 14000 block of East Liverpool Road at 5:04 am Thursday in reference to a caller who said he shot two people and believed them to be dead. Officers spoke with the caller who was found in his underwear and T-shirt. The caller said the two victims were in the living room, but no one was found there, then he said outside the door, but again no one was found. Medical personnel arrived to evaluate the caller who was not making sense. He was ultimately transported by ambulance to the hospital for evaluation. His weapons were confiscated for safe keeping.

— A driver at 1:15 am Thursday approached officers on a traffic stop on St. Clair Avenue to report a road rage incident in which someone was following to close behind him so he brake checked them, at which time the other driver attempted to pass him, pulling up alongside his vehicle yelling obscenities and making threats of physical harm.

— Michael D. Bruce, 26, no address listed, was charged with OVI, open container and driving under suspension following a traffic stop in the 15000 block of state Route 170 at 2:32 am July 31.

— Officers responded to the 1200 block of Mound Street at 4:47 pm Sunday where a resident reported he had just noticed his motorcycle was missing. He said he last saw it approximately a year ago.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of East Seventh Street at 1:14 pm Sunday in reference to criminal damaging to a vehicle.

— An officer responded to the 300 block of Morgan Court at 1:04 pm Sunday to check on an individual who said he needed medical help but did not want to go to the hospital. He eventually agreed to go to the hospital but refused ambulance transport. A family member drove him to the hospital where he was upset but ultimately cooperated with the staff.

— An officer responded to the 1200 block of Westview Drive at 12:21 pm Sunday in reference to a camper that had been broken into, but nothing was taken.

— Officers responded to the 700 block of Aetna Street in reference to a verbal dispute at 12:01 pm Sunday. Both individuals involved agreed to discuss their issues at a later time and one of them left.

— An officer responded to the 900 block of Sunset Boulevard at 11:44 am Sunday where a resident reported someone overnight had broken into his truck, but that nothing was missing.

— Officers responded to the 1100 block of Maple Street at 9:28 am Sunday in reference to a tree in the roadway and found the tree had taken down cable wires. The street department was notified of the tree.

— Officers responded to the 600 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 3:58 am Sunday where a resident reported his security system alerted him that someone was getting into his vehicles. He said he was able to scare the person off before anything was stolen. Officers checked the area but could not find the person in question.

— Officers responded to the West State Street overpass at 1:56 am Sunday in reference to a suspicious person that may have thrown something at a passing vehicle. Officers checked the area but could not find anyone on foot.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of South Broadway Avenue at 12:35 am Sunday in reference to an individual causing problems in a bar. The man left before officers arrived, but was found a short distance away as a passenger in a vehicle. The four occupants were stopped and advised of the complaint. Once it was confirmed that no physical altercations had taken place, they were told not to return for the remainder of the evening.

— Officers responded to the 600 block of Cherry Street at 8:24 pm Saturday in reference to a domestic dispute and found the two people involved had already left heading toward South Lincoln Avenue. Officers searched the area but were unable to find the two people.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of Woodland Avenue at 7:44 pm Saturday where a resident reported a man in the home was harming her 10-year-old nephew. Contact was made with the juvenile and his grandmother, who is his legal guardian, and the juvenile was confirmed to be okay. Officers learned that the man, who was extremely intoxicated, had pinned the juvenile down by his hands because the juvenile was acting out. The grandmother said the man also placed the juvenile in a headlock. The man is in a relationship with the grandmother. The matter was forwarded to children services.

— Officers responded to the 200 block of West Wilson Street at 4:24 pm Saturday in reference to a suspicious person who appeared to be under the influence to something walking toward Newgarden Avenue. Officers were unable to find the person in question.

— Police responded to the 1400 block of Franklin Avenue at 3:02 pm Saturday in reference to two motorcycles being taken. While en route, officers were advised an altercation had occurred with two men fleeing in a vehicle on state Route 344 and one man on foot into Grandview Cemetery. The man on foot, Brandon Michael House, 26, Whinnery Road, Salem, was found and taken into custody on a felony warrant out of Columbiana County for obstruction-failure to comply. Charges are pending.

— Officers responded to the 600 block of Cherry Street at 2:47 pm Saturday where a resident reported finding a tin box with old/used needles and a spoon, pills and pipes in her brother’s bedroom. The brother had already left and the items were taken back to the station for disposal.

— Officers responded to the 1300 block of Fairview Avenue at 12:55 pm Saturday where a resident reported someone overnight entered her two vehicles but nothing appeared to be missing. She also reported the doors to her shed were open that morning but nothing appeared to be missing from there either.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of Fair Avenue at 12:31 pm Saturday where a resident reported someone broke overnight into his two vehicles but nothing appeared to be missing.

— Officers responded to the 600 block of Cherry Street at 11:54 am Saturday in reference to a civil issue. Everyone involved was advised of their options.

— An officer responded to the 400 block of South Broadway Avenue at 6:31 am Saturday in reference to a chicken crossing the road. The officer found the chicken between two residences and spoke to a woman across the street who said the chicken was hers. The woman was able to get the chicken back inside its enclosure. She was advised of the city ordinance of having chickens within 150 feet from any residence other than her own and told to rehome the chicken or she will be cited.

— Abbey L. Vanhorn, 22, Newgarden Avenue, Salem, was cited for no driver’s license and driving upon a closed roadway after officers responded to the 800 block of West Pershing Street at 3:42 am Saturday where she admitted to pulling out of a driveway into the closed portion of the roadway, getting stuck where the concrete had been cut out for road work.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of East Fourth Street at 2:41 am Saturday in reference to a reported medical in which the woman in question was refusing treatment. Due to her conditions, officers and first responders were able to convince her to be transported to the Salem hospital for treatment.

— An officer responded to Stewart Road at 11:15 pm Friday to assist Perry Township police look for a possible prowler. Officers were unable to find anyone in the area.

— Officers responded to the 1800 block of Cleveland Street at 10:37 pm Friday in reference to a suspicious person knocking on a window. Officers were unable to find anything out of the usual.

— Officers responded to a Legacy Lane business at 10:02 pm Friday in reference to a man who had been trespassed from the business inside the store. Officers determined he had never been served a notice from management. He was advised of the situation and agreed to leave with the understanding he was not to return.

— Kerri E. Steffel, 34, Barclay Avenue, Salem, was arrested on a warrant out of Columbiana County for child support after officers responded to the 900 block of Barclay Avenue at 9:49 pm Friday where she was allegedly screaming at the caller and ripped his shirt.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of South Broadway Avenue at 7:33 pm Friday in reference to a dispute and spoke with both people involved who said it was only a verbal argument.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of South Broadway Avenue at 7:12 pm Friday in reference to a disturbed person in the alley. Officers checked the area but could not find the person in question, then learned from the caller the person had already left the area.

— Officers responded to the 600 block of Olive Street at 7:04 pm Friday in reference to a dispute and spoke with a man who said he had been in a verbal dispute with his girlfriend. The girlfriend had already left before officers arrived.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 5:40 pm Friday in reference to a suicidal woman. Officers spoke with the woman who said she had just had an argument with her son. Marks were visible on her wrists and medical personnel responded to transport her to the hospital for evaluation.

— Officers responded to the 200 block of West Pershing Street at 4:43 pm Friday where a resident reported receiving unwanted contact from his mother’s boyfriend. He said he has told him several times not to contact him and has blocked all his numbers, but he still continues to contact him.

— Officers responded to the 300 block of Jennings Avenue at 1:40 pm Friday where a resident reported her daughter was upset and possibly having a mental health episode. The daughter said she was having some issues but did not need medical attention.

— An officer responded to the area of ​​State Street and North Ellsworth Avenue at 12:44 pm Friday in reference to a man sitting on the sidewalk. The man said he was okay, just hot and taking a break.

— A Robin Avenue resident reported at 11:44 am Friday he called a telephone number to switch the electric over to his name and gave personal information, but there was no record of the call with the company.
