A man has been taken into custody and a child with him remained unharmed after a stalemate with officials in an apartment complex in east Las Vegas, Metro Police said.
The officers responded to a home caller at 4400 block on East Twain Avenue near Boulder Highway around noon, police said. Metro announced around 2:40 p.m. that the incident had been resolved.
The man, who was in the apartment with a young child, had refused to come out, the police said. The officers tried to de-escalate the situation and persuade him to surrender, the police said.
Twain was temporarily locked in both directions nearby, police said.
The police did not identify the man or provide any further information.
