Police recuperate 5-year-old lady kidnapped in Cleveland, man in custody

CLEVELAND – UPDATE: The girl was recovered by officers and the man who kidnapped her is in custody, police said.

Cleveland Police were looking for a 5-year-old girl kidnapped from her Cleveland home.

At around 6 p.m., officers were called to an apartment to report a 5-year-old girl who may have been abducted by her mother’s friend who lived with her.

The mother told the police that her boyfriend had come into the house with a group of people armed with a gun and that her boyfriend had taken the child away.

Police believe the incident was due to allegations that the child was assaulted in some way by another resident of the house.

According to police, the friend is said to have traveled back to Pennsylvania, where he, the child and the child’s mother live.

It was never assumed that the girl was in danger.

The police are investigating the incident.
