Supreme Courtroom Quashes FIR Lodged In opposition to Father For Taking Away Son From Mom’s Custody

Giving relief to a father, the Supreme Court on Thursday quashed the FIR lodged against Father for taking his son from Mother’s Custody.

A bench of Justices UU Lalit, Ravindra Bhat, and Sudhanshu Dhulia criticized lodging of FIR in such cases and burdening thr criminal courts.

The Court was informed that when the appellant father first approached the Allahabad High Court four years ago, the child informed the High Court in an interview that he did not want to go with his father and that he would be happy with the mother.

In this case the Supreme Court has ordered the father to contribute Rs 20,000 per month for Child’s education and considering the allegations in the FIR and the circumstances of the case, the Court quashed the FIR.
