A car with a two-year-old girl was stolen in Brooklyn on Friday and the child was missing for just over an hour before they were found unharmed and the suspect was taken into custody, police said.

The male suspect stole the gray Honda pilot near 30th Street and 3rd Avenue in Sunset Park around 3:40 p.m. and flew north on Second Avenue with the kid, police said.

Police sources said the child was not left alone and the suspect hijacked the vehicle when one of the parents tried to get in. The suspect did not show a weapon, the sources said.

It wasn’t clear if the thief knew the child whose photo was tweeted by police.

The little girl was later found unharmed near Brooklyn Bridge Park, where the unidentified suspect was arrested, police said.

“UPDATE: The baby has been located and is safe. The suspect is on remand, ”reported the NYPD.
