Suspect in custody after no less than 1 particular person shot in downtown L.A.

One person was taken into custody following a shooting that injured at least one person in downtown Los Angeles early Saturday morning.

Officials replied to the reserve bar in the Spring and 7th Street area around 2 a.m. after receiving reports of a shooting involving two victims.

They arrived to find a 25-year-old man who, according to the LAPD, suffered from a gunshot wound that was not life threatening. The officers had no information about the second victim, who was originally reported in the shooting.

Officers later discovered the alleged rifleman and began to pursue him.

The pursuit ended in the area of ​​6th and Spring Streets, where the suspect was taken into custody.

Officials did not identify the suspect, who was only described as male. Officials said he had a gun.

It is unclear what sparked the violence and no further details were immediately available.
