Suspect wished for taking pictures man in Racine now in custody

Suspect after Racine Shooting at Free Foot, Listed Armed and Dangerous RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) – A suspect allegedly wanted in connection with a Racine shot has been taken into custody.

The shooting took place on April 30th. Police said a 41-year-old man was shot multiple times near Hamlin and Maryland. They identified the suspect as Kevion Minor.

Police said Minor was found on Wednesday, July 7th, in an apartment near 16th and Clark Streets on Wednesday, July 7th. The Racine Swat team and RPD crisis negotiators contacted Minor, but he refused to come out and armed himself with a gun.

The officers found that a woman and a young child with a minor were in the home. Authorities say the young child was released from the apartment after about an hour of negotiations. After another hour and a half of negotiations, Minor and the woman left the apartment.

The minor was then taken into custody. He is charged with attempted homicide in connection with the shootings and other charges pending investigation.
