Suspects in custody after Oklahoma Amber Alert; one suspect needed for baby intercourse crimes

UNION CITY, Oklahoma (KFOR) – Union City police issued an amber alert Friday morning for three siblings reportedly with two suspects, one of whom was wanted for sexually assaulting a child.

The Union Police Department confirms that they found the children with their parents in an apartment in Owasso.

Amber Alert suspects arrested at an apartment in Owasso, Okla.

The three children, ages 6, 12 and 13, were safely found and taken into government care.

The parents, 32-year-old Samatha King and 35-year-old Christian King, were arrested.

Christian has active warrants for the sexual assault of a child in the Canadian county.

Union City Police said the arrest warrants were requested when King told a family member that he had an ongoing sexual relationship with a minor. This family member reported it to the police. These family members, as well as others, said King had thoughts of suicide in order to escape the situation or possible charges that would accompany it. According to police, Samantha is said to have known about the sexual relationship with a minor and King wanted to surrender on Thursday. Instead, they fled Union City with their children, which resulted in an amber alarm and what police said could be a fatal situation.

“It gets much more serious when a whole family flees,” said Union City Police Chief Richard Stephens. It becomes a possible hostage situation or you have people willing to give up everything in their life just to run away. That doesn’t end well. “

The police did not say why the family fled to the Owasso apartment complex where they were found. All three children have been taken into DHS custody and an investigation is ongoing.
