Teenage intercourse trafficking sufferer rescued in Gretna, two in custody after utilizing baby for prostitution

JEFFERSON PARISH, La. (WGNO) – Two Texas residents are behind bars after sexually trafficking a child.

On June 24th, Jefferson Parish detectives discovered a 13-year-old girl from the La Quinta Inn on Terry Parkway in Gretna. Investigators initially responded to a report of a possible kidnapping, but it is not known whether it was the victim.

Upon opening the door to the motel room, the police noticed the smell of marijuana and discovered the victim. She was reportedly forced to have sex on more than 10 prostitution dates.

Detectives arrested Randi Lewis, 33, from Missouri, Texas, and Chelsea Gee, 18, from Houston. Police found that Lewis was the victim’s pimp while Gee was also exploiting the child.

The victim told police that Gee introduced her to Lewis after recruiting her for prostitution dates. Days before the arrest, the three traveled to New Orleans and stayed in the motel room. Nobody was allowed to leave the room without Lewis.

The two women posed for pictures under Lewis’s direction, where the pictures were later posted on a website widely used for prostitution.

According to police reports, the victim was forced to attend a total of 10 to 20 prostitution appointments while Lewis and Gee waited outside the room. All money earned was withheld by Lewis.

Lewis and Gee were both held at the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center in Gretna on child trafficking charges. Lewis is also charged with possession of marijuana, along with its distribution to minors. His bond is set at $ 165,500 while Gee’s is set at $ 100,000.
