The Temporary Wondrous Lifetime of Trump’s Unhappy Little Weblog Web site

Former President Donald Trump’s blog, a rudimentary website that was ridiculed for being a brand new kind of “communication platform” when it was launched less than a month ago, no longer exists.

The now defunct corner of Trump’s broader website dubbed “From the Desk of Donald J. Trump” has been sunk and “will not return,” senior Trump adviser Jason Miller, accused of losing his income Hiding $ 500,000 in 2019 to avoid paying child support, CNBC said. “It was just a tool in the wider effort we have and we are working on.”

In response to an email asking for more details, Miller said, “I don’t speak to The Daily Beast anymore.” He declined to elaborate on it.

Trump launched the poorly performing feature under a collective public shrug and garnered a tiny fraction of the massive engagement he once enjoyed on Twitter and Facebook, both of which banned him from their platforms for inciting violence and disinformation about the elections 2020 spread.

Trump’s “desk” was a sort of safe space for him to shoot at his opponents – and to rail against the endless list of injustices he believes others have been confronted with.

In a heartwarming post on May 3, the day Trump’s blog started, he wrote, “It’s so nice to see RINO Mitt Romney boo from the stage at the Utah Republican State Convention. You are one of the first to recognize this guy, a cold loser! “

Trump also made sure fans struggling to get food to the table during the COVID pandemic were kept up to date on his personal transport fleet.

“Lots of people have asked about the beautiful Boeing 757 that became so iconic during the Trump rallies,” he wrote on May 21. “It was effectively kept in Upstate New York as I was not allowed to use it during my presidency. It is currently being fully restored and updated and will be back in service before the end of the year. It is about to be taken to a service facility in Louisiana to complete the work, check and upgrade the Rolls-Royce engines, and get a brand new paint job. When it is finished, it will be better than ever and used again in the upcoming rallies! “

The story goes on

The letter followed a request from Trump on May 19 to his supporters: “Stay with Kirstie Alley! She is a great actress, loved by so many people, and a true original. She is also strong and smart. Many millions of people very much appreciate their support for our country. Thank you Kirstie, you are really appreciated! “

Trump’s only remaining online soapbox also gave the deposed CEO ample opportunity to remind everyone that he was the first US president not to peacefully relinquish power to his successor.

“As our country is being destroyed inside and out, the 2020 presidential election will go down as THE CRIME OF THE CENTURY!” He wrote last month. Apparently, angry with Trump for not getting enough credit for the responsible use of current President Joe Biden’s national vaccination schedule, Trump suggested, “Isn’t it incredible that because of the vaccines that I and my administration have developed? Years ahead of schedule (despite the fact that everyone, including Fauci, said it would never happen) that we no longer need masks and yet our names are not even mentioned in what everyone calls the modern wonder of vaccines? Without the vaccines, this world would have seen another Spanish flu in 1917, killing up to 100 million people. Because of the vaccines that we have advanced and developed in record time, nothing like this will come close to happening. Just one mention please! The Biden administration had nothing to do with it. You just continued our distribution plan, which worked well from the start! “

At other times, Trump used his so-called platform to vilify former employees who had the courage to publicly disagree with him. On May 12, he wrote, “A guy named Miles Taylor who I have no idea who he is can’t remember ever meeting him or having a conversation, he definitely wasn’t. Some people refer to it as ‘absolutely nothing’. I hear he’s on CNN and MSDNC all the time, but he had nothing to do with my decisions and I wouldn’t even know what he looks like. He’s the guy who fraudulently wrote a made up book and statement for the failing New York Times, which calls itself “Anonymous.” That’s right, he, a Lowlife I didn’t know, was anonymous. “

There were half-hearted and hardly conclusive Mother’s Day wishes (“Happy Mother’s Day. Everything will be BIGGER and BETTER and STRONGER than ever before. Don’t worry!”); dribbling comments on horse racing (“So now even our Kentucky Derby winner Medina Spirit is a junkie. This is a symbol of what is happening to our country. The whole world laughs at us as we go to hell at our borders” , our fake presidential election and everywhere else! ”); and the old hits (“Now everyone agrees that I was right when I very early on called Wuhan a source of COVID-19, sometimes called the China virus. It was clear to me from the start, but I became heavily criticized. “, as always. Now everyone says ‘He was right.’ Thank you!”)

Trump also took the scab off old grudges, targeting cable news professionals:

“Crazy Joe Scarborough and his bloodthirsty psychological wife (?), Mika, are going insane because their reviews are absolutely FUELING,” he yelled on May 12th. “They are too often wrong and always predictable. You were right about me in 2016, but in the 2020 election I did better with 12 million more votes. Stay tuned!”

He even made national holidays about himself: “With Memorial Day Weekend coming up, people are driving off tomorrow on the biggest automobile days of the year. I’m sorry to say that the gasoline prices you are facing are much higher than they were just a few months ago when we had gasoline below $ 2 a gallon. As you tick the meter and pile your dollars, remember how great Donald Trump did as president. Soon Russia and the Middle East will be making a fortune in oil and you will say how good it was to have me as your president. Wasn’t it great to be energy independent, but we are no longer energy independent. Shame, shame, shame. Otherwise a great Memorial Day weekend! ”

And, as always, was a firm believer in polling numbers – but only if they helped him: “A new Ipsos / Reuters poll ‘Beliefs Among Republicans’ shows that 53% believe that Donald Trump is the real President (I always knew that America is smart!). The 2020 elections were spoiled by 56%. The election was stolen (and manipulated!) 61%. “

Trump’s last post from the “Desk” focused on one of his most popular pro-Trump events: the boat parade.

“Impressive! I have heard that thousands upon thousands of boats are parading on Jupiter, even though they have tried to cancel us,” he wrote on May 31. “Everyone has an incredible time. On this day we especially appreciate everyone who Served and fought for our great country. I love you all! “

But while Trump’s short-lived blog may now be closed, his Save America online store is still open, selling Trump hats, flags, straws, pint glasses and doormats.
